Tropoflavin 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone Supplement
7,8-DHF also known as 7,8-dihydroxyflavone,It has been found to act as a potent and selective small-molecule agonist of the tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) (Kd ≈ 320 nM), the main signaling receptor of the neurotrophinbrain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)

Tropoflavin is both orally bioavailable and able to penetrate the blood–brain barrier. A prodrug of tropoflavin with greatly improved potency and pharmacokinetics, R13 (and, formerly, R7), is under development for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Displays memory enhancement in hippocampus-dependent spatial and fear-associated learning in rodents. trans-ISRIB promotes survival of pluripotent stem cells in culture when used in combination with Chroman-1 (Cat. No. 7163), emricasan, and polyamines, a combination known as CEPT. When used as part of the CEPT cocktail, trans-ISRIB improves survival of differentiated cells following cryopreservation. Brain penetrant.
